Overcoming The Fear of Ebola

I remember a song we sang in children’s choir, which was coined from Psalm 1:3.

The song goes:
I’ve got to be like a tree
Planted by the water
Trusting in the father
To keep me strong
 *Repeat Chorus*
Trusting in the name of the Lord

The deeper the roots go
The bigger the fruits grow
The blessings bloom out for all to see
The bigger the fruits grow
The more my life shows
That Jesus is the Lord of me.

It’s a short, simple song, but it’s got great meaning.

The Ebola epidemic in West Africa has brought so much fear into our society. The extra hype and faulty forms of preventions travelling around social media has worsened its effect on Nigeria.

The true way to abort the fear of this deadly disease, prevent it and cure it is by following these two simple steps:

1. Take the proven and reliable precautions and if infected take all necessary medications.

2. Focus completely on God & Trust in Him

The more time you spend with God, the greater your focus will be on Him and not the disease. It’s hard to fear what your mind is not focused on. The more your focus is on God, the stronger your faith will be and faith is a destroyer of fear.

Focusing on Him and obeying Him will serve as a guide for you. He’ll tell you where to go and where not to go. He’ll prompt you on where to forfeit going and what not to eat. His word says, for you will hear a voice, instructing you the way you should go. He may even cause a delay, disrupting your plans in other to keep you from harm.

Always remember that the creator of the universe, the one who sees the end from the beginning, the healer and deliverer is mighty to save and heal.

Trusting God also gives you confidence that activates a shield around you. The shield would be so great that even if the virus gets in contact with you, the virus will die instantly and people will be healed instead because you know the God you carry.

Remember "...But the people that know their God shall be strong and do exploits" Daniel 11:32b.

Love you & God Bless You...

Funny Things About Being A Father

Couldn't let go of this cute pix of David Beckham and his little baby. This pix reminds me of a picture I took with Daddy carrying me like this, although I didn't make a mischievous, funny face. Wish I could lay my hands on the picture. So this is me wishing every father, a Happy Father's Day.

Relationship Nugget by Pastor Nomthi Odukoya

"This picture depicts how a marital relationship should be. Your spouse is your other leg. The progress of your relationship is dependent on both spouses walking together in harmony like legs do. You will never see one leg going left whilst the other goes right: both legs move towards the same direction to reach its destination.
