A glance at this photo made me release me a tiny smile, taking a closer look at the cute smileys in their different postures, made my smile even wider, but you know what struck me the most?

 The two short sentences that came along with the smileys. So I pondered just a little more on it and almost instantly I could relate it to a movie called Maleficent.

Just before the character, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) cursed Princess Aurora, two fairies had each wished the princess seemingly simple gifts. One was the gift of beauty and the later the gift of happiness. Maleficient intruded, affirming to the wish that she will be happy but soon after cursed her to fall into a deep sleep. A spell in which no power on earth could break except true loves first kiss.

Unknown to Maleficient, her affirmation to Aurora’s gift of happiness had doubled the gift. So Princess Aurora grew up to be a very happy child. Even in the mist of fear and the poor upbringing she went through in order to hide her from Maleficent, she was always smiling, always cheerful and ever releasing a calm joy.

As a result of her charming happiness, Maleficent eventually grew to love her. She was so fond of Aurora, that she was willing and did do all she could to cancel the enchantment. Sadly, Aurora eventually fell into that deep sleep and Maleficient wept, she had grown to love her and done all in and out of her power to abort the curse. As she cried, she kissed Aurora and Aurora woke. Could Maleficent’s kiss on Aurora have been true love? Click to watch the clip.
                          
Yes it was and that was all that was needed to break the spell. The Bible says “A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones” Proverbs 17:22

A smile does reveal beauty, it attracts people to you, and even your enemies are forced to favour you when you smile. Smiles spring forth love. Amazingly, everyone has a unique smile. We are uniquely created each of us having a peculiar face; so wearing a smile on your unique set of teeth, lips, nose, eyes, brows…reveals a one in a million smile. 

I don’t know about you but remembering the birth of Jesus puts a smile on my face…Have a Smiley Christmas, a Wowing Boxing day and A Fulfilling New Year.
